Today was Dunman Care & Share day. 2E was like, doing Haunted House. Here are some pics taken when the lights were on in the Haunted House. I'm sure many people did not take a good look as the lights were off most of the time.

Time passes so fast. It is already the year 2009 and I am already 14 years old. I dun wanna grow old so soon. The Sec 2 work is gradually getting harder. At first, I thought the Maths was okay but when we reached Algebra, I totally didn't understand a single thing. Really confused. English is all the same. All the subjects are still the same old thing. The same three steps to pass your exams. Slack. Mug. Score!

So ytd, Joshua and me had to borrow a laptop from the MRC. When we went there, the MRC was locked as the ppl there are having their lunch so we went back to class. Played cards with Benjamin and Jonel for a while before going back. After borrowing the laptop, we went back and found Benjamin with no pants on. He was changing in class. Good lord I didn't enter a minute earlier or I would've encountered Jonel with no pants too.

I also heard Wei Quan is angry with Jun Jie. Just ignore him. He may be annoying at times but don't let that affect you. If it comforts you to know, me and Jonathan also don't like him. Just let him be teacher's pet. If he continues on like that, the only friend he would have left is teacher.

The people at the Speed Gamers are doing a highly ambitious speed run of all Pokemon games. Their aim is to capture all pokemon from Bulbasaur up to Darkrai with no external trades. HAPPY 43rd BIRTHDAY SINGAPORE!!!

So once again, it's National day again. Tomorrow will be our nation's 43rd birthday. Now, as you know ,normally every year ,there would be a song for National Day. However,this year, I couldn't find the MV screening on the television. This prompted me to go to YouTube to find this year's song which is 'Shine for Singapore'. After that,I began searching for all the old songs for comparison. Some of the NDP songs were pretty good and I will be posting and reviewing most of the NDP songs.

2000 - Shine on me
'Stars and crescent shine on me'
I didn't know this song very well as I was only 5 years old that time. I don't remember anything then.=( The song were quite good. Most of the shots were taken at the HDB estates. It seemed reasonable as HDB estates were new at that time.You can also see the past of our CBD(Central Building district).It sure evolved much from 2000 to 2008.=)

2001 - Where I Belong
'Where I keep my heart and soul'
One of the classics.It's one of my favourites.=) More shots from the CBD.The HDB estates received no coverage this time though.

2002 - We will get there
'Look where we are,we've come so far'
I didn't know the song at first when i heard the title.I thought it wasn't an NDP song.I was wrong.the tune is familiar but I didn't hear it when I first heard the title.The CBD was upgraded and the Esplanade finally makes an appearance!

2003 - One United People
'Rainbow of a thousand colours, lighting up the sky'
And I thought this was an old song.Breakdancing finally makes an appearance.The MV focuses on many different cultural and reflects on Singapore multi-racialism.

2004 - Home
'Sail down the river which brings us life'
Classic.This is probably the most well-known NDP song.It was sung by Kit chan and Lin Jun Jie for the NDP.The choirs of Tampines Primary and another school also covered this song in it's MV.the MV is basically the choir singing on a vehicle that is winding through the roads near the Singapore River.

2005 - Reach out for the sky
'We'll soar up high'
Large differences with the others.More hip-hop-ish.Well-liked by young people when it first came out.I personally found it quite bland.No offense though.

2006 - My Island Home
'Sing a song of home.A land of peace'
One of my favourites.Nice tune and nice MV.I particular love the MV for the night scenes in the CBD.Visually stunning.

2007 - There's no place I'd rather Be/Will you
'Will you take this island and turn it from a place'
Okay-okay.Sounded normal to me.It was quite bland too.No offense tho.I just have nothing to comment on.

2008 - Shine for Singapore
'This is your song'
Okay.The song can be quite bland when you first hear it but when you listen to it often enough,you can really appreciate the music.

Crystalline snowflakes fell smoothly from the darkening firmament and landed gently on the thick blanket of snow covering the very ground that we walk on,creating a picture that seemed to emerge only from a fantasy.A little girl entered the ethereal realm and lifted her hand in an attempt to catch the enchanting,magical snowflakes.She cracked a smile as one of the snowflakes nestled soundlessly in her cupped hands and dissolved to form a pool of cool water in it.Whirling around,her hazel brown eyes searched for someone familliar.They finally landed on the man whom she called Father.Time has mercilessly carved deep lines into his once charming features,causing him to look older as the passage of time moved on.

Slowly,the man walked towards his daughter and crouched down so that he was at eye level with her.The little girl looked expectantly at him with her hazel eyes full of affection.She always wondered what her father was thinking as his furrowed countenance always carried the same old cryptic look.With a heavy heart,the man disclosed the news that had been disturbing him for the past few days."The country needs Daddy to fight for it..I'm afraid that Daddy won't be coming back for quite a long time."

The smile instantly vanished from the little girl's face to be replaced by a look of consternation.She did not understand why her father had to go but there was a more pressing question."When are you coming back?"

Silence hung over in the air like a ominous aura.That question seemed to pierce right through his heart like a sharp arrow so that he could almost feel the physical pain.The truth was, even he did not know the anwser to that.It was all in Fate's hands, but if everything went well....

The man stood up and caught sight of a valley.Clear water used to flow in it and a slight breeze would ripple the water's surface, causing the reflection of the peaceful surroundings ion the water surface to appear hazy and unreal.Winter had come and the surface of the water had frozen to form a thin layer of fragile ice.Arousing himself from his deep contemplation, the man finally decided on a reply for his daughter's question, "I'll be back when the ice melts and water starts flowing in the valley."

For the girl, seconds ticked by like the powdery sands of an ancient hour glass as she waited for her father's return. Seconds turned into hours and hours turned into days. Everyday, she stood alone on the riverbank, staring at the layer of ice covering the surface of the water, devoid of any feelings. She willed for the ice to start melting and for the water to start flowing so that her loving father would reappearbefore her, but to no avail.The water remained stubbornly frozen and the thought of giving up hope flashed across her mind, but something within her prevented her from giving up hope.She had to believe in her father.

The earliest cracks in the ice appeared one day and the girl's spirits lifted. The ice was starting to melt. Soon, water flowed in the valley, but her father remained visibly absent.Her hopes were dashed and her heart turned increasingly colder with each passing day. All that was left was a deep void.

As the girl strolled slowly along riverbank, raindrops started to fall from the sky like pearls escaping from a broken necklace. Closing her eyes, she let the raindrops fall freely onto her face, feeling the coolness against her skin.What she did not know was that each drop of water was a word of apology from her father in heaven....

It's been a super mega long time since I post.Sorry that I couldn't help from making my life become a total mess...=.= Anyways,in my boredness and despair,inspiration came to me in the form of art.Finally,I decided to draw something on MS Paint.From scratch.Yeah,no copying or anything.I started from an untitled white blank.With the help of brushes and pencil tools.I managed to complete this.Even though it looks deformed.Bear with me since it was my first time doing this kind of thing.(Excluding the Plankton you all know so well)
